Baked French Toast with

Carmel Topping

 

6 Eggs

 

1 1/2 C Milk

1C.  Half & Half

1/4 tsp vanilla

1/2  tsp cinnamon

1/4  tsp. nutmeg

1 Loaf French Bread or Large Italian Bread

 

Slice bread into 1 inch thick slices and arrange in 9x13 greased baking dish.  Combine rest of ingredients and pour over the bread slices.  Cover and refrigerate overnight.

 

Carmel Topping:

 

1/4 C softened Butter

1/2 C. packed brown sugar

1/2 C chopped walnuts or any other nut

1 TB corn syrup

Combine all ingredients and spread over Bread just before baking and Bake @ 350  40 Min. or until golden and puffed.
