Raspberry Almond Shortbread

 

1 C Butter

1 C. Sugar

1 Egg

1tsp. almond expract

2 1/2 C Flour

1/2  tsp baking powder

1/4  tsp. salt

 

Cream butter & butter, add egg, & almond extract.  Add flour, baking powder & salt.  Spread into a 9x13 pan .  Make diagonal groves with the end of a butter knife and fill with raspberry jam.

 

Bake 350  20 min until golden on the edges.  Cut into squares and store in a sealed container.
